Armed kidnappers that apprehended two residents of Agunfoye in lgbogbo, last night, are demanding N30million as ransom for their release.

THE IMPACT gathered that the kidnappers, after terrorizing Igbe communities months back, struck again at Agunfoye, another Igbogbo community, at around 9pm on Wednesday, apprehending Mrs Abdurahman and a rewire, Mr Taiwo Adepoju.

It was gathered that the woman was returning from work with her husband before the kidnappers attacked them at the entrance of their home and whisked her away into the creek.

A close friend of the family said that about six men armed with guns who were suspected to have come with a boat, appeared from nowhere and attacked the unsuspecting couple, and forcefully taken the wife away.

However, before they went away with Mrs Abdurahman, it was gathered that they also kidnapped one Mr Taiwo Adepoju, a rewire and also took him along.

“It happened around Prayer Camp in Agunfoye, around 9pm yesterday. The kidnappers came from the creek which is very close to the place. They came from the creek and also went through the same point.

“They were about four men. Those are the visible ones, and they were armed.

“They are demanding for N30milion for the abducted wife and another man within the neighbourhood who was also kidnapped”, the source said.

It was reliably gathered that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ikorodu Divisional Police Headquarters in Ikorodu visited the scene earlier today.

Also, our reporter was informed that the Area Commander and the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA Local Security Taskforce are also working on rescuing the kidnapped residents.
